No NFL Network? Watch online!
November 23, 2007 – 12:22 amYes, I’m one of those poor souls who doesn’t have NFL Network.
So, I went hunting for some audio on the web tonight for the Colts-Falcons game. Thought for sure I could find a Westwood One radio station that was airing the game online. After a few unsuccessful searches, I went to NFL.com and was shocked and jazzed that the NFL was streaming the game — for free! (I’m sitting here now, toggling back and forth between the end of the game and this post.)
I couldn’t find much news about it, but NFL.com Live Beta was my savior tonight and it was a wild, wild trip into the future. I don’t know if the NFL plans to show any more NFL Network games for free this year, although the host on the NFL.com Live set — didn’t catch his name — signed off with “See you all next week.”
Damn, I hope they keep it free. I could watch all NFL games this way. The picture wasn’t HD quality and was occasionally jumpy, especially in full-screen mode, but that could easily be attributed to my mediocre DSL connection. Had no problem using it with either FireFox or IE.
The interface comes with live updated stats, a live blog and the option to send in a question to the NFL.com Live Studio.

Very impressive.
