New and Improved AllSortsSports Site

November 22, 2007 – 10:57 pm

Hey, folks.

Sorry for the disappearing act this season, but after the madness of this season, AllSortsSports has decided to get out of the rankings business.

We are considering doing Average Rankings, similar to our preseason Average Projected Stats and Fantasy Sports Central average weekly rankings. But our rankings would be an average of similar sites, plus rankings from the more respected sites, such as Sporting News, Yahoo, Fox, KFFL.

Please comment if this is something you would like us to do or not.

In addition to the disillusionment about the foolishness of predicting weekly rankings, I wanted to get away from the hideous old design and the abundance of annoying ads that ran on the site. So, we’ve converted to blog format courtesy of WordPress. This will allow us to update quicker in real-time, especially on game days. So be sure to come back and look for game-day news and advice.

We we will also be resuming waiver-wire recommendations, but not on Monday/Tuesday or any single day of the week.  Going forward we will add waiver wire updates on a rolling basis. Whenever there’s news we’ll make a recommendation.

We’ll also do the occasional Sleepers post, when think there are some actual Sleepers out there.

Matthew Berry of Rotoworld fame listed Chester Taylor as one of his sleepers last week on NFL Countdown.

Chester Taylor against Oakland. A sleeper?

Rotoboy must think the fantasy world is sleeping.

It’s Chester Taylor. Not Ryan Grant. Chester should have been listed as a stud play — easily. So we’re not going to insult your intelligence like that. If we think we have some true sleepers, we’ll let you know.

Just wanted to let you all know we’re back — cleaner, leaner and meaner.

Hope you stick and around and tell others that we’re back.

Thanks,
Jeff Gregory

  2. I really enjoyed going to your site when it was operational. Thank god you guys are back. I’ve just won the $600.00 pot in my ffl for the second time and started mostly backups in the last two playoff games to win it all. my starting roster was B. Favre, J. Lewis, A. Peterson (Min), T.O., T. Moss, J. Witten, M. Crosby, Lions. Last two games I went with K. Warner, F. Gore, J. Lewis, S. Moss, R. Moss, J. Witten, Lions, and M. Crosby. I was wondering if are still going to have the 3 year statisical history sheets? This tool was great to scout consistency.
